Gas springs steel
Are you curious which (standard) gas spring fits your system best? At Brimotech we are daily engaged in the development and production of (customer specific) gas springs. Besides our standard collection, we are also happy to make a custom calculation based on your requirements. At Brimotech, you’ll find steel gas springs for nearly every conceivable application. Whether it’s a bicycle parking system, the food processing industry or the luggage hatches in an airplane, our gas springs make movement easy and safe.
Are steel gas springs resistant to corrosion?
Steel gas springs can be treated with protective coatings, such as a lacquer coating, to improve corrosion resistance. For environments with a high risk of corrosion, think of the maritime sector, stainless steel is often a better choice.
Standard steel gas springs
All of our standard steel gas springs feature a black-painted steel cylinder and a hard-chromed piston rod. These gas springs can be used at temperatures from -30 °C to +80 °C. Higher and/or lower temperatures are possible on request.

CALCULATE GAS SPRING
To determine the appropriate gas spring for your application, it is important to first make a calculation. A calculation that seems relatively easy, but because the center of gravity of each application constantly changes with angular rotation, it is still a tricky job. When you order the gas springs from us, this calculation is free of charge.
If you are in possession of a 3D file of your application, you can mail it to us including your specifications and requirements. Note the weight and center of gravity in relation to the hinge point in a closed situation and attach it.
