Gas traction springs (steel / stainless steel 316)
What is the difference between a gas traction spring and a normal gas spring (pressure-based)
A gas traction spring works in reverse to a normal gas spring. Instead of expanding, it contracts, allowing controlled pulling movements. In a gas traction spring, nitrogen is compressed to provide a pulling force when the spring is extended, unlike the pressure provided by a gas compression spring.

Not every gas traction spring is suitable for every application. Therefore, you should make a calculation before purchasing gas springs. The calculation seems quite simple, but the center of gravity of each system changes with the angular rotation. This still makes the calculation a lot more complicated. If you are in possession of a 3D file of your application, you can mail it to us including your specifications and requirements. Note the weight and center of gravity in relation to the hinge point in a closed situation and attach it.
